In general, we may even prefer mainland, because lieing on the beach is not important at all. After reading your previous recommendations, I came to the conclusion that such islands as Santorini, Rhodes, Crete, Kos are not what we are looking for. Nature always remains paramount when choosing locations, but places interesting in architecture and history are also quite important in our journeys. We are always looking for something untouched in commerce and something authentic (such as food, to get acquainted with the locals and feel the rhythm of their life). Since Greece is a very diverse country I am totally confused looking for the most suitable place to visit in our holidays. Our family (me, husband and 1,5 years old daughter) is planning the first time trip to Greece in the second half of April for about 10 days.
